![]() Historically we started with 12 member families in the club and have today around 40 families. The club is inclusive to pre-1974 American cars. In our first five years of existence we conducted annual car shows to Benefit the U.S.C. Pediatric Clinic. Specifically, we supported the "food pantry" for terminally ill children in this special U.S.C. ward. In 1987 we re-focused our attention on the growing need within Ventura County. Thousands of dollars have gone to benefit such notable charities as; Care & Share, Food Pantries, United Way, YMCA, Simi Valley Outreach, MOORPARK Boys & Girls Club and now supporting the MOORPARK FOOD PANTRY AND VENTURA COUNTY SANTA'S CRUISE FOR KIDS. Also in 1987 we committed to and purchased a modular building for a YMCA Day Care Center. 100% of the funds were provided by our club. We are recognized by our fellow rodders as being one of most generous car clubs (considering its size) in the Southern California area. We were 1st place winner in 1996 of "THE GOLDEN RULE AWARD" from EAGLE ONE Products and 2nd place for 1997. Our annual car show is attended by thousands of spectators. 2003 will be our 24th Annual ROAM'N RELICS Car Show in the City of Moorpark, our 9th year at this location. We will be displaying over 500 entry vehicles from all over Southern California. This is one of the largest one-day car shows in the state, this years 24th Annual event is planned for October 26, 2003 in Moorpark, CA. The show is hosted and run by club members and all time is volunteered. The revenues from this event will once again be divided among charities throughout the Ventura County area. |
